Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the tours?
We offer two rides. One is 37 miles and lasts about 2 hours. The other is offered in July and August and lasts about an hour. Both are narrated with lots of amazing sights and fun!

Will I get wet?
Our ride is full of fun and surprises. Some passengers do get wet ... some more than others. Prepare for getting wet and you will have more fun! Please be aware that we do not take responsibility for damage to cameras, cell phones, hearing aids, etc. as a result of the water.

What training do your pilots have?
All our pilots are USCG certified and trained by experienced river pilots. Further, each pilot is first aid trained and prepared to assist in any way possible.

What should I wear?
Portland's weather is very comfortable in the summer, averaging in the 70's. However, it can get a little cool cruising along at 30-40mph in a jetboat. We always recommend a jacket or sweater. Also remember there is a chance of getting wet and Levis don't dry very fast!

What should I bring?
Cameras, binoculars, rain gear, hats, sunglasses, and suntan lotion. We sell hats and have suntan lotion available. Remember, most passengers do bring cameras and other electronic gear, however we assume no responsibility for damage from water. You might want to bring a sturdy re-sealable plastic bag for these items.

Can you accommodate disabilities?
Many disabled passengers enjoy our excursions. We will try to accommodate all who want to have fun. Any passenger who can sit in a bench seat unassisted can be assured that they will be comfortable, safe, and have a great time. Please call for more information, as each disability requires different accommodations.

Are life jackets provided?
Yes, life jackets are provided for all ages including infants.

Do you accept gratuities?
Gratuities are not required, however many do tip the river pilot. The amounts vary depending upon their experience, however most tip a few dollars per passenger.
